World endurance champs under way next week


In just a matter of days, the FEI World Endurance Championships will be under way at the sprawling Terengganu International Endurance Park in Lembah Bidong, situated on the scenic coastline 25km north of Kuala Terengganu in Malaysia. There are 142 riders and horses from 34 countries set to compete, of which 22 have sent teams while the remaining 12 countries will be competing with individuals.

The competition starts on November 6, and offers a $US100,000 prize purse for the individual competition, and $US80,000 for the teams. The best conditioned horse will receive a $US20,000 prize, and all riders who complete will receive a prize from the organising committee.
